I planted many trees. More than 25, which is my age, since we have a special holyday in Israel that is called Tu-Bishvat. It is a kind of birthday for the trees, so we have massive planting in that day. This tradition was made because of some laws that were set by our ancestors for blessing the crops. We plant in cycles of 7 years, and these years are counted for trees' crops at that "trees' birthday" (other crops are acounted for like the regular jewish year). I like this holiday since it has many nice customs to it like having a meal of dried fruits, planting trees and traveling. Do you have such a holiday for trees?

A few years ago when I was on holiday in Oklahoma, I brought back acorns from an American Black Oak with the idea of trying to grow my own oak tree :-) One of the acorns germinated, and I now have a 3 year old oak tree which is still only about 4 inches high! I don't think that I'll live long enough to see it become a mature tree, but I was hugely pleased that it had grown at all. I just have to be careful that I don't cut it down when I'm mowing the grass!

hello there Haxor!. i think that because i lived in the farm in my childhood i have planted a lot of trees. well my grandmother loves her farm and she always force us to help her plant trees and other kinds of plants in her farm and in her garden. i have planted banana saps and mango seeds and coconut trees and lots and lots more and it was quite fun.

Trees are as important to human life as oxygen because in ancient times the atmospheric oxygen accumulated in the atmosphere due to the photosynthetic activity of the plants and now human activity is causing its depletion. So the denial to the importance of trees is a denial to life

trees are good for envirnment. they are also useful for the birds and animals who stay in it. so forests shouldn't be cut-off. and more plants must be grown in city area. i hve planted 101 plants out of which most of them have grown well.

I wouldn't have any idea how many trees I have planted since childhood, but I do know as an adult is has been quite a few. In my garden I have three gum trees out the front. In the back yard there are 7 fruit trees.
