We teach our children what is right and wrong. However, there are times that we forget for follow our own teachings and show our children the opposite. When we do the wrong things and our children see us do the opposite, they would start to think that what we are doing is the right thing. We tend to forget that we are the role models of our children and we need to practice what we preach. We tell our children that they should not throw their garbage anywhere but they could see our throwing candy wrappers outside the window or anywhere else. What would the children supposed to think? We teach our children to be orderly in their things and clean their room when our own room & closet leave very little to be desired? We teach children not to take drugs, smoke or drink but they could see their parents do any of those things. Let us lead by examples dear parents because any wrong that we do, becomes right in their eyes. Do you practice what you preach to your children? I may not be perfect and sometimes fail in this matter, but I do the best that I can do to teach my children by example.

I try very hard to practice what I preach.I realize that everything I do my children watch.I am sure there have been times that I have failed to do the right thing. If I noticed what I do wrong I try to correct it or even explain to my child that what I did was wrong and that I made a mistake.

Nobody is perfect and what is important is that we are aware of the mistakes that we made. I have made countless mistakes too and explain them to my children. Thanks for responding!
