Do you sleep with your baby beside you?

Ever since we got home from the hospital my baby has been sleeping beside me every single night. I know that in other countries they don't do this. Some doctors even disscourage this. But I just can't sleep without her beside me. I'd feel sorry for her sleeping alone on her crib without seeing anybody when she awakes.

Yes, every mother wants to sleep with their baby but it is goon for some extent and one thing they will be used to this and in their near future they get scared to sleep alone so make them sleep seperate to you after feedingthem but be in their sense and it is better to make them sleep with other company first by which they learn how to sleep alone. This even helps them to do their things by their own as time passes.

I am the reverse of your, the very night that we brought our baby home, she slept in her own room in her baby cot. We do not want the baby to sleep with us, as we do not want her to be very attached to us from day one. We would like her to have her own space when she grows up and we can have our own private moment . Plus, I am a heavy sleeper, it can be dangerous and I am heavy as well.

In our country infact in nearly all asian countries kids sleep with their parents only; the concept of kids sleeping alone is a western concept, but I find Asian children just as independent and wise at making choices as children in the west and infact they are more closer to their parents & they share more too! All of us me and my siblings slept next to our parents in a baby cot next to our parents bed. Your doc is right when he says that it is dangerous for the baby to sleep right next to you in the bed as the baby could get tangled up in the sheets to some very serious consequences; so put your baby in her crib but put her right next to your bed so that you can calm her as soon as she starts crying!
