Parallel Parking

I am a newbie at driving and the one thin that I hate so much is parking. I leave home earlier than usual since I started driving so that I can be sure I'm going to have a good spot to park my car and so that I will have enough time to do it properly. But there are times when I am left with no choice but to do parallel parking which is an ultimate challenge for new drivers like me. Do you have any pointers to share?

I've been driving for over 40 years and I still hate Parallel Parking and avoid it at all costs. The only time I Parallel Parking is when I can drive streight in and back streight out. I would rather walk a mile then to Parallel Parking. The only way for it to get easier is to practice.
