For the girls who have tried making the first move, how did you do it?

I know a couple of women who hate waiting for the guys they like to make the first move. Nonetheless, only a few of them was able to muster the courage to express themselves. So for those who have done it, what exactly did you do, how did you start and how did it turn out?
