I love coffee but I admit that I do not go too often to coffee houses now a days, I used to frequent starbucks too with a friend before but since I started working with the urban poor and street kids I have stopped spending time and money with starbucks. I realized one cup of coffee could be a weeks food allowance of those poor kids. :(
But once in a while..A friend of mine, knowing that I so love coffee, treat me to a coffee house and I love it.

You have a big heart. And so does your friend to treat you like they do.

Near where I live we have a couple of coffee houses that host live acoustic music a couple nights a week as well as open mic nights. I have gone in during the day as they have free wireless, and are near where I catch a bus, they have a bottomless cup of various coffees, ranging from regular columbian coffee to more exotic grinds and flavored coffees too.
I haven't gone to any of their music nights yet but will eventually. I know of a couple friends who have played on open mic nights too.
Either way, it's not Starbucks, and is a good way to spend some time.
