There was a discussion on the radio this morning about having a tatto of your boyfirend or girlfriend name on you. It reminded me of the golfer Lee Travino who always had a bandaid on his fore arm. The story I heard was it was the name of an old girlfriend and he wore the bandaid to cover it up.
Would you ever get a tattoo of your girlfriend or Boyfriend name on your body? What if you broke up what would you do aboout the Tattoo?

My son's friend got a tattoo, then for some reason, he felt he no longer wanted it. He could not afford laser surgery to remove it. He used a metal cheese grater and rubbed it off.
No, I would not get a tattoo, not of someone's name, not of anything.

I have four tattoos myself but would never get one of a boyfriend's name. that's dumb. You have to keep in mind that it's extremely expensive to get a tattoo removed. And in case anyone is wondering about the tattoo removal creams. I have tried Tat B Gone and after 4 months of twice daily use it is only slightly faded. I'm having to resort to laser removal. So I have learned the hard way. (it's not a name just an ugly tattoo in a visible place)

This reminds me of when I was in graduate school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and my friends and I liked to eat out at a Mexican restaurant on the south side of town. The was a young fellow who hung out at the bar of the restaurant and he was always talking about his girlfriend with whom he was madly in love. One day, at rather great expense, he had her portriat tatooed on his right arm - it was a full arm tatoo of the girl and a very good likeness. He did this as a statement of his undying love for her and a sign to other women that he was no longer available. Things were fine for a few months and then the affair ended and they broke up. After that the poor fellow had a difficult time getting dates as the picture of his ex girlfriend on his arm continued to broadcast the message that he was unavailable.
