Researchers from the Saint Louis University in Missouri have developed a fuel cell that uses sugar as a power source. The fuel cell uses enzymes that convert the sugar fueld and it has been tested running on glucose, flat sodas, sweetened drink mixes, and tree sap. The new battery, which is also biodegradable, might eventually replace lithium ion batteries in many portable electronic applications, including computers, the scientists said. Do you feel fuel cells will eventually replace normal batteries?
