My first award was in 6th grade and it was a journalism award. I still have that award. There were two kids from my homeroom who entered the contest. It was announced on the loudspeaker that I won. I saw the teacher go to the other student who entered the contest and was sitting right across from me. She said, why didn't you win? That really hurt my feelings. That teacher never liked me. However, even if a teacher doesn't like you, she should show you respect because she can damage your ego at such a young age.

well, as far as i remember, my first award was Best in English when i was in nursery.. i was English speaking.. i never knew any Tagalog word back then.. i was 3y/o.. i think my guardian kept that medal for me.. i guess it's in the Philippines.. hehehe.. that was sooo cute..
