Fact - Infants major brain development is while they are asleep

The Children from age 0 months to 2 years major part of their brain development happens during they are asleep so they should not be disturbed while sleep.

That's a great point, thanks for the heads up. Its funny because I've also read to wake up your baby just as you are about to go to sleep and feed and change them so both of you can get a nice long stretch of sleep. This is when they still wake up at night for feedings.

Children also grow while they are sleeping. This is why you will see your child go through an eating stage, then a sleeping stage. They eat more to store the nutrients for when they sleep and grow.
