The "spoils of war" usually brings more babies!

After every big war there is a huge baby boom. Fellows come back after having their lives threatened at every step. They have seen people blown to bits, and blown a few themselves. They come back and want to celebrate their new found appreciation for being alive by reproducing. With that in mind, do you see a possible baby boom coming for the USA during the nest years? For the sake of argument, let's pretend the war is going to end in the next 3 years. Do you think there will be a baby boom?

Oh Indeed, I would be surely surprised if there was not. These wars are fuelled by men high on testosterone, from the newest private to the Lieutenant Colonel on high. I think we'll be seeing a lot more than a baby boom, sadly.

Excellant point. women don't have testosterone, and are fighting in this war, but women have their own version of intensity- and its true, we don't debrief our military. I wish we did. I always have .

Yes it sounds logical. I don't see why the returning service people should be any different from previous wars.

I think that it is possible. Yes these kids are trained on what to expect over there emotionally but I don't think it really works. When they see all the horrible things that war brings, all they want to do is go home to their families and make babies.
