"If you Build it, they will come," Field of Dreams "Demented and sad, but social," the Breakfast Club "I think we're going to need a bigger boat." Jaws These are but a few of my all-time favorites. What is your favorite movie line? Why does it make your list? I hope this will be a fun discussion. Oh, oh. "Get your hands of me, you Go**amned dirty ape." The origanal Planet of the Apes.

I do love "My name is Mrs Norman Maine" from A Star is Born. One of those lines that shows absolute total love. Makes me cry every time I see and hear it

I looooove that movie. All three versions. Have you ever seen the silent version. I think I prefer the Judy Garland one all in all, but Kris kristofreson(spelling) is just too hot for words in the 76 movie.

I don't know if it's my favorite quote, but one that comes to mind often is from The Lion in Winter. John Castle is talking to his mother, played by Katherine Hepburn. "God forgive me. I've upset the Queen." He says it sarcastically, although she is an actual queen. I never said it outloud, but often thought of it when dealing with a coworker. It provides a relief to inwardly say something so funny that would only cause trouble if you really said it.

Oh, but you know what? To say lines like that is so cathartic. I remember my second job after college, we had this supervisor that everyone hated. She was a major b-tch. Anyhow, I one upped her on a conversation with the boss. And she was pissy to me for the whole day. Someone asked her what was wrong. I said "She's just upset because someone dropped a house on her sister." A couple of people got that I was referencing the wicked witch of the west from "The Wizard of Oz" but she didn't, which made it all the more enjoyable.

"Speaking of sisters, you look like very familiar. There seems to be a lot of inbreeding at Mylot." LOL, we do resemble one another, don't we? You do need to see "The Wizard of Oz." From your favorite movie quote, I gather that you are in to classic films. I am also. Oz is among the most classic. It's beautiful movie and the songs are fantastic. I've had he pleasure of recently introducing my two youngest girls to the film. My youngest seems to love everything "old." She is 5 and she awoke in the early morning hours last week. I got up to find her in front of the television watching a Fred Astaire film. I was so impressed. LOL

There are a lot of references to movies (and Tv and music) that I don't get because I'm out of touch with current entertainment. But not to recognize the Wizard of Oz? That's just sad. Speaking of sisters, you look like very familiar. There seems to be a lot of inbreeding at Mylot.

What's the movie. If you recommend it, maybe I could look into seeing it. I don't have a problem with subtitles. In fact, I prefer it to dubbed films. Thanks./

The movie is called "Bituing Walang Ningning (Star withouth shine/sparkle)". I'm just not sure if it's available with subtitles, though.

"Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." A few years ago a coworker and I got in the habit of running around the bank pretend-swordfighting with various objects and shouting this line from the Princess Bride. Not when there were customers around, obviously. Yeah, I know, I'm weird. Also from that movie: "We are men of action, lies do not become us." Okay, I could really just quote almost this whole movie, but I'll stop here. *laughs*

Oh, I love the Princess Bride. I could watch that film over and over again, without getting tired of it.

My current favorite movie line is "Tonight we dine in hell!" by King Leonidas from the 300 movie. I loved the action there! The spartans are really braved soldiers.

I haven't seen 300 yet. I don't get much time to go to the movies unless it's disney films, but I will surely check it out on DVD. Thanks for responding.

Oh, I love that movie. I feel so sorry for Lilo everytime I watch it. Those girls at her dance class are so horrible to her. I will watch that movie when my kids are not around, even. LOL THanks for your response.
