We were very impressed that he did this. So many people don't seem interested in keeping this tradition anymore.

Very nice of you to share your good news this way. It is lovely to hear in this day and age that a young man would think to come ask the parents for their daughter's hand in marriage. He must be very well brought up and congratulations on potentially having such a nice mannered young man becoming part of your family. x

Yes, he is very well mannered and considerate. He respects his parents, and adores our daughter. We couldn't ask for anything else.

It is good to here that there are still some with manners that act on them. You don't mention the ages so I gather they must be 18. Congratulations to your daughter and to you raising a lady that knows how to pick a guy. Thanks for sharing this with us.

They will both be 18 within the next few months. They are in no hurry to get married, and still aren't "dating" even though they are engaged. She is young, but then so was I, and my husband and I have been married for more than 20 years.

Thank you so much. They are happy and so much in love. We are so blessed that she found someone who seems to love her more than life itself!

How exciting! It sounds like you really like the boyfriend which is a great way to start off an engagement and marriage. I hope it all works out and your daughter is very happy! :o)

thanks! We are very excited. Hunter's proposal on Friday was very sweet, very romantic, and made the mom's cry. He wanted the two sets of parents involved with the proposal, which was very unusual, but it was so touching to watch that special moment.

It was a breath of fresh air to find someone respectful. The man she dated before Hunter had no respect for us, and quite frankly no respect for Kristen either.

This is very unusual in this day & age. You must be proud that you daughter has chosen such a well mannered young man.
Congratulations. I can imagine your excitement. I have a long way to go before my daughter gets to the marriage stage, I hope.

Yes, it is very unusual, and we are excited about the engagement. Hunter is a wonderful young man, very responsible. He says he won't marry her until he can support her financially.
