My boyfriend and I breed angel fish. Lately we havent't had any luck with the eggs they lay, though. The eggs either turn white, or the parents eat them. Any advise?

If you are having no luck now and you were having luck before then I would get some fresher food for the parents and make sure that you do your regular water changes (keep the tank clean so that there is little that bad bacteria can live on). Angelfish will lay their eggs on an upright surface like a leaf of a plant or a piece of slate laid against the side of the tank. Other cichlids may use caves but angelfish do not.

your half way thier first of all to breed angels you need to have a seperate tank just for the angel fish pair that has alot of platic plants and a cave i used ship wrecks that only have one hole in one side and this is where the fish lay thier eggs and also you need to raise the temperature a bit high so that the eggs can develop and if the eggs turn brown then maybe the food you feed your angels does not contain engough protein try something like live frozen bloodworms or live food this will ensure your female angel deveolps big healthy eggs then as soon as the eggs are layed leave the fish that takes care of the eggs and remove the other your will notice this by visual inspectation and within few weeks you should have fry angels and lots of them good luck
