You ever see those tire planters some people have in their yard? Painted all sorts of bright colors, they can be really attractive. I always wondered just how they flip the tires inside out to create the attractive petal shapes.
Here is a website that explains the process - hey a cute planter (free) is much nicer to me than paying someone else to dispose of it!http://www.wuvie.net/tireplanter.htm

Thanks for the information. I hope lots of people will be encourage to reuse tires. Tires are made up of rubber so when you burn it, it will emit a foul odor and the smoke can also cause damage to our environment.

I haven't done fancy ones like these but years back I somehow ended up with several old tires around the property and the dump wouldn't take them so turned them into planters. They didn't look the greatest at first but once the plants started growing and covered most of the tire you didn't even know. They also work great as mulch bins - stack them on top of each other and alternate layers of leaves, vegitation, egg shells, coffee grounds, and dirt - the next year you have the best soil in the neighborhood.
