Whay kind of gifts do you give or like to get?

I am big on making personal gifts. As I said in another discussion, I am in the process of writing a book on my family history from my research to give as gifts to my siblings and other family members. Some other projects I have done are Calendars using family pictures, I like to put pictures of people in their birthday month if possible, but sometimes I just randomly pick. It is a gift everybody loves because each month is a new reminder of a life memory I gathered all of the 8mm video tapes and put them on a VHS tape, then I edited it and put it to music. Not just any music, but music my family loves....the opening scene is my grandfather and the song is...Grampa, Tell Me About The Good Old Days The ending is a mishmosh of scenes from our lives and the song is ....I've Had The Time Of My life For my daughters, I did scrapbooks with pictures, newspaper articles and their interests. I included stories about them, school papers they wrote and at the very end of the books it say...To Be Continued One thing I did for my mother was, I bought some white curtains for her bedroom and took them and pictures of her children and grandchildren to the local graphics shop. I had them put the pictures all over the curtains. Later, I had bedsheets and pillowcase to match made. I also make hand made quilts, which is always an item people seem to love Do you have any more ideas for original gifts?
