which way should ceiling fans turn in the summer and winter?

i think you should use the proper direction, not against the sun. maybe put some ice in front of the fan.

The angle of the blades should go against the air in summer to push the air downward. The reverse is true for winter since the colder air at the lower room level will be pushed upward to mix with the often 10 degrees (fahrenheit) warmer air at the ceiling level. Hope this helps!
