I have been unemployed for just over two years now and I hate it. The problem seems to be my age, when prospective employers see that I am 55 years old, they simply say no. I just keep looking and hoping that someone will get the idea that I am worth employing.

Well, actually, i've only had one job in my life... i am only 23, but i liked that job, and after that, i stayed in school. it was a work-study job, and liked it very much, but school was more important. then i got married and had our beautiful baby! which is great, and now i'm looking for a part-time job so we can have a bit of extra cash at hand. I deal with it fine. i love being with my daughter.

I am currently unemployed now, after giving up my job to start a new career, I spent three years in college learning a new career, now I have all the necessary qualifications I can't get a job, it is very soul destroying, especially as I made a big gamble in my life. It is easy to get down and be really unmotivated, but I do try to get up early, I go to the job club and get as much help as I can. It's hard on the finances and it does get me down at times and doesn't do much for my self-esteem, confidence or depression. I keep myself fully occupied and going to the gym gets rid of my frustration, anger and stresses of life without a job.

I have been unemployed at times, but usually under my own choice. I quit one job that was taking too much of my time when I was in school and making too many demands; I needed to concentrate on school and my upcoming finals. There were other times that I have had ethical conflicts with management or the company and turned in my resignation, and other times when I have been let go (so of which are my fault, I will admit). I always remain positive. I continue to look for work, and have never had too much of a problem finding a new job. I have a good work record that has impeccible attendence, diverse work history, and a strong skill set. It always works out in the end.

Yah, once I emplyed in a large corporate office as secretary and after some month I left the job as it did not give me much earning but a binding of timely office going, office leaving, no specific duty chart etc. caused me leaving the job and now I am free.

I have when I quit my previous job because I cannot take my boss anymore... the good thing is that I got hired the following day by a much better company I'm affiliated with right now... Lucky me... I spend 1 night of being a bum though. Cheers!
