Today's Oprah..A Complaint Free World?

United States

Oprah's guest, Pastor Will Bowen from Kansas started a challenge during a sermon. He passed out purple bracelets to everyone in his church. The challenge is to wear the bracelet on the same wrist for 21 days. If you complain, you have to move it to the other wrist. He chose 21 days because scientists say that it takes 21 days to develop a new habit. Word spread and orders came rushing in from other countries. The bracelets are free of charge also. It sounds great, but it seems hard to believe that the entire world could be complaint free. Can you even imagine a complaint free world?

It would be a beautiful thing, but I feel your correct in your assumption. Changing habits is a hard thing to accomplish, for any person let along for the world. I imagine that if possible, it would of been accomplished centuries before today. But who am I to say it is not possible, to have a complaint free world, but it won't be in our life time. Maybe all the people with bad habits in this world only need one thing, to be shown they are respected and loved, but in the end your view is most correct, it seems hard to believe that the entire world could be complaint free.

Someone told me about that. I am sorry that I didn't get to see it. I think it is a great idea. Even if we aren't able to totally change our 'complaining' ways, it can hopefully make us aware of how much we complain! Often, the things we complain about are unfixable anyway or, pale in comparison to real problems that are in the world. I never knew that little tidbit about 21 days to change a habit either. That is interesting and sounds about right.

It would be nice if the complaining would at least lessen. You are right..I don't think people actually realize how much they complain on a daily basis.
