It's a dish composed of string beans, squash, okra, eggplant, ampalaya and other lowland Filipino vegetables cooked in boiling water with a seasoning using fishsauce. Better served half-cooked. Fish or any meet can be added as "sagpaw" in Ilocano. Dinengdeng is actually an Ilocano food, very famous in the northern part of the Philippines.

That's good to hear. Everybody in my family loves dinengdeng. When my siblings and I were young, we would eat in our neighbor's house if they cook dinengdeng. Do you eat dinengdeng like your dad?

Yup, its taste good. I remember for former boss's wife, she's Ilocano, use to cook this often during office outings or getaways. Its also like pinakbet here in Manila.
