Leaving?

Hello Bob, don't mind me dropping the "Grandpa" as I have lost respect for you. I don't like mincing my words so I tell you frankly that I take offence at your discussion. I have always respected you and supported you as a good myLot friend, and it saddens me to see such unfair accusation coming from you. I don't think I am wrong to assume that you were talking about me - so we can just drop any attempt at pretense. Adopting such a sneaky way to cast doubt on my character in turn casts serious doubt on yours. If you are not happy with me, say so. There is no need to beat around the bush. This said, I like to clarify that there is nothing wrong with what you said largely - EXCEPT your ending postscript. You commented that I was still posting and responding at the time when charms88 started her thread. Then you added a "LOL" and "go figure". By them, you are obviously trying to mislead readers into thinking that I did something wrong or unbecoming. I would say this, Bob - go read the discussion I started again. I mentioned up front that it would probably be my last or one of my last discussions unless I have a satisfactory response from myLot. I also mentioned in the discussion and my subsequent comments to responses that I will probably write myLot in a few days and will then give them till the end of the week to reply. The few days have passed and I had written them last night. This means that I am still waiting for a reply till the end of this week before I decide whether to leave for good. I expressed my intention to leave if things do not turn out well. The week is not yet up and true to my word, I have not started any more discussions. Nowhere did I say that I am not going to make any more responses to discussions. I am very much irked by your callous insinuation, given that I was still taking time to mark best responses when I could have just left. And since I have not removed my email notifications (I want to be notified when messages come in), and I have time on my hand, I didn't mind responding to some discussions I was interested in. So Bob, what exactly is your problem? I have done no wrong and yet you intentionally malign me. It hurts. Before you pen any words in future, I urge for your sake that you think before dumping words so very thoughtlessly. Despite all, I forgive you, Grandpa Bob. Please just be more sensitive in future. Surely your friends are worth more than the pennies one more discussion can bring you.

ive had someting deleted this very morning but it wont make me want to leave that would be letting the folks who reported me for some uncalled for reason win I would not ever do so there are folks on here who delight in this just because we have different oppinions It is the diversity of the site that keeps it interesting to me !

Makes me sad. No not that whoever is leavin (sorry, no idea wwho your post was about) Im sad because if i said I was leaving, I think there would be alot of people starting discussions thanking god that I was leavin instead of beggin me to stay:) I havent seen the discussion that you was talkin about yet. But I bet it makes that person fell good to know that so many people are goin to miss him/her!

I know who you are referring to, as he is on my friends list too. When I first read his discussion I replied with support. Later I saw the particular discussion, the one that was deleted. In it, he used the f... word, I believe. I imagine thats why the discussion was deleted.

Oh well, your thread is clearly talking about my latest discussion, grandpa. I won't gainsay on you about it as I respect your opinion. If you find my thread a little too much, I wish you can just PM me and tell me directly without posting this one. Like what cremechese is saying, that post might be deleted. But there's one thing that I like you to understand, grandpa. That person you're mentioning and I are good friends. We help and support each other. I don't think there's anything wrong with what I'm doing. Having said my piece here, I assure you that I'm not upset or anything. This is an open forum and anybody is entitled to their opinions. Happy posting, grandpa. PS: That member is still posting and responding as he clearly stated he will wait for mylot to address his problem.

I'll hold up my hand and admit that I did post to that discussion asking him not to leave, because, well, like an idiot, I forgot we could PM other members LOL. I consider this guy to be a friend and so I was just voicing my well wishes and that I hoped he'd stay. Sometimes when someone is popular it's what happens. I shall PM him and send him my well wishes that way in the future, or to any other of my friends if it should come to that :o) And no offense taken :o)

As mean as it sounds if said person is not having fun with this site then let them go. I still find this site fun and if they feel like deleting a thread well they are the boss. Sometimes it can be annoying but as long as they are paying for my thoughts who are we to complain. There are other ways to make your voice heard if its important. I know alot of people will disagree with me but i just think we all need to relax and enjoy this site for what it is (rules and all).

There was a time when I was new and you know how hard it is being new here, seeing everybody's post is 1000 and mine was 90 LOL I was once mad at mylot since they deleted 4 topics that I responded to and so my responses went down and my earnings went down $ 1 (which was 100 postings). I asked other mylotters about their experiences but nobody said anything about my earnings went down that much so I thought mylot was scamming me. I told my friends I would stay only until end of the month (this happened in Feb) I spent lesser time here and focused on another site that earns faster. But then mylot somehow "returned" my earnings and then on that other site I had to wait 4 weeks for payment, so I know now mylot pays on time not a scam and will stay here. If someone wants to leave mylot, well not everybody can type so many in a day, I'll just say good luck. I won't start a topic to get others ask this person to stay.

There are people who think they're so important to a site that everybody should rally around them. They should eithr s--t or get off the pot. Either stay or leave, but quit whinging as if they're somebody special and deserve special treatment. The truth is, that nobody will even remember them after they're gone. And the owners of mylot have more important things to take care of than a few disgruntled complainers.

Maybe that member is just lonely Grandpa Bob and want's a little affirmation from her 'friends' the she/he would be missed. Sometimes there are things that we are not sure of doing and not sure that it would be a good decision that we seek other people's opinion. I just hope that person won't really leave. I am sure she/he would miss mylot.

I am sure the person will think about it and stay. I do not know to whom you are referring to so I really cannot give an opinion on it. I have not had anything deleted here yet so I do not know how I would feel if it happened to me. I am sure I would not leave over it. I hope it does not happen to me.

I saw that discussion also but didn't comment on it. I don't know why the discussion they posted got deleted but I don't think it's a big deal. Most of us have had a discussion deleted at one time or another. It was probably written outside of the do's and don'ts guidelines. Your right I don't think they should be pleading in a discussion. I wish the member would stay too and since that member is still posting he's probably not so overheated over the deletion any more. I too have done things in the heat of the moment on here ay? LOL!

It's all about starting discussions that we believe will get responses isn't it? I think that is what ths was about. We can choose to read or choose not to read any post. If a post such as what you wrote about bores you, don't read it. But I notice you posted aboput it so you must have thought it was a good discussion to get responses.LOL

I see nothing wrong with what you say here GrandPa, you just did what you think is right. I've been trying to avoid this discussions for as long as I can, but I can't help myself. I've the discussion you've been pertaining to, since yesterday. I didn't respond at it because my feelings are the same as to those first three respondonts, and I know that I would be wronged if I give my view there. I didn't know you made a topic about it also, and I am glad that you did made a good way of letting others know how you feel about it. It's true, if they want to live, then leave at once and don't let others feel sorry just because of your leaving. oh dear are the rattles and dummies getting trown out of the pram i've not seen the topic or realy interested in it but all i want to say is like others have said too, if they want to leave then let them after all were not contracted to this site and theres plenty more available. If some members find it difficult in taking critisism should they really be giving opinions themselves? Mylot have the right to delete anything they think is unacceptable this obviously was the case here, anyway people please use this site in the fun and interesting way its supposed to be if you want drama go to a drama school tc all happy posting

I do wonder sometimes if people are genuinly thinking of leaving or if it's just a way to clock up a few extra responses! Perhaps the theory should be tried! LOL! I think I shall start another little experiment on this one! I have only been here three weeks and am really trying to figure it all out still. Have a great day!

I do not know the member personally, but I saw the posts. Seems to me that having one discussion deleted is not that big of a deal, especially if you are enjoying things here. Is it a war of pennies or pride? I have nothing against the post, but it did appear somewhat self serving. I have seen several posts complaining about deletions of some kind it does not appear to be anything personal nor directed at any one person.

Maybe this person just needed to vent. Maybe they needed to be validated by other members that their input was valuable. Maybe they gave it some thought and decided to stay afterall. Sometimes you need to take a minute to stop and take a break from something.
