How often do you see your parents back home?

I know there are a lot of us here who are living away from our parents. That's why we only get to see our parents once in a while. Since I have entered college, I already lived from a province away from them. I rented in a dormitory at first but now, I'm living at my Aunt's house. I miss my parents very much because I don't get to see them everyday anymore. Sometimes, I can go home only when it's Christmas or semestral breaks. If only I could go home every weekend, sure why not? But our home is not that accessible from the city I'm living right now.

my mother lives over 20 hours drive from me, so I do not go to her as often as I should like to. my father passed away a couple of months ago, I regret not being able to get right there at the time. it is sad that families are so spread far apart these days.

We only live about an hour from my parents so we ususally see them at least once a month. Sometimes if there is a family function or holiday we will go more often.

The last time I went back home was last Christmas vacation, 2006. But I get to see my parents every now and then even if I can't get to go home that often because they come here in the city once in a while. The last time I was with my Dad was last month, sometime on mid-February because he was brought here in the city's hospital for an andiogram. He was confined in the hospital for couple of days and we're glad he's doing fine now. The last time I was with my Mom was just recently. She came here couple of weeks ago, together with my little kiddo nephew. She goes here in the city about once a month because she's studying PhD or Doctorate.

I have never lived more than half an hour away from my parents. However between the ages of 11 and 17 I only ever saw my dad once (my parents are divorced). I guess that's different though. My mother I live 10 minutes away from, and I see her nearly every single day. She went on holiday to Tunisia recently (just got back on 1st April) for two weeks and I missed her a lot! Pathetic really - I'm 23 years old for goodness sake. lol ah well!
