My son is an odd child. He's everything you could hope for in a boy, but there are quirks about him that just defy logic. Not that I expect a 3 year old to be logical, but some amount of regularity perhaps.
For instance, when we go to the park, he is excited to be around kids and will begin to play with them, but then, he will just go off on his own and play by himself. And remain that way. Then the other kids leave and he finds himself alone, all of a sudden he's disturbed because the kids are gone and he wants to play with them.
I'm left scratching my head in astonishment, because he could have played with them the last half hour/ hour they were there, but he chose not to...
Am I missing something here?

Maybe he just likes having them there to listen to it will go away eventually he may be slightly shy and not know it.
