Four 50 Point games in a row. Not even Jordan has ever done that and kobe is only 28 years old and has 3 championship rings in his fingers. He is on pace of breaking many scoring records. He should deserve the leagues MVP this season over Nash & Nowitzki( who are not good defenders). and lakers are the hottest team in NBA because of Kobe's hot streak.

In my opinio,Kobe should to be MVP of this Season. He is so excellent that he can got over 50 points in four games in a row.He is my idol. But I think he is not better than Jordan. He is as better as Jordan and if his teammats is as good as Jordan's he will be better than Jordan.

With out question Kobe is the best player in the league, and he does deserve the MVP. However he will only get it if the Lakers go really far in the playoffs or win the title. They only seem to reward players whose teams do exceptionally well.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA- He has shown that year after year-- Take Shaq away and Kobe is still great! I've been a Laker fan since he has been on the team- It's great fun to watch Kobe play- I agree-- 4 games with over 50 points! A great accomplishment- But they stopped him last night- Kobe had a off game and the Lakers lost! He has to figure out a way to get the other players involved and playing great along beside him- Thats the way we'll get to another championship. I say Kobe should be the front runner for MVP.

kobe might be the greatest scorer in the NBA history, even better than michael jordan and wilt chamberlain, but he's no better player. kobe should and for sure would belong to the NBA mythical 5 this season but he'll ont win the MVP award. dirk nowitzki and steve nash deserve it better. kobe have strings of 50 point games, dirk and steve have series of 17-game win streaks this season. plus both of them are leading the top two squads in the NBA right now. teamplay is given more weight than individual acts for the MVP plum. unlike nash and nowitzki, kobe wasn't able to make is teammates look good on the court. the whole team is not a really big threat against other teams. he's still a very good player even shaq left, he even got better since he doesn't have to share the limelight with another superstar in the team. but since shaq left, kobe's got 0 title. he got 3 working under shaq's shadow. he's got 0 MVPs, 0 finals MVPs, 0 titles since shaq left. he's not even halfway for MJ
