Why are we unable to sleep when overly stressed or worried?

hey is it the disscusssion on sleep.... oo its my favorite thing to dooo... i love sleeping but i have seen many peples cannot sleep at night because of some tensions some having physcical tension whereas some having mental.. but i dont have any tension at all... but i found that yesterday night i cant sleep well... do u know why????? even i donot know wat is going on to me... let me tell u yesterday whole night i have dreamt about a pretty girl of our college as hence i could not sleep.... will anyone help me in this matter???? what problem do i have???? help me!!!!! happy mylotting thanks for a nice disscussion............

I have experienced being unable to sleep. Worries and stress bulk in our minds, make it restless and go thinking. Once way back a couple of months ago, due to an ever-tiring studying, I slept like I have not slept at all. Get it? It's like that for the few hours that my eyes are closed, still my mind is working and bulked with enumerable concerns. That was really stressful. The day after, I felt my head empty. It's like a computer brain with overlapped and mixed data.

I usually have problems sleeping, because when a lot is going on in your life, it sticks with you. It doesn't leave your head even when you try to sleep. Everything from "Did I leave wet laundry in the drier?" to "I wonder if my mother is ok.", it just bounces around in your head until you are too tired to listen anymore. A lot of people have that same issue. The best thing to do it to count backward from 99, envisioning a white wall. By 55 or so, your head should be blank and ready to sleep.

meaning of sleep is complete mental rest. un rest or disturbed brain could not go to dreamland to enjoy an asleep in its true meaning. One should free himself from the chain of thinking and after then he should try to go to bed, this will cause a sweet and calm sleep. try it now.
