Looking for sympathy from my myLot friends! It's been a tough week. My husband was doing great for awhile, but has taken a turn for the worse. Fortunately, he sleeps a lot, so does not feel much pain or anxiety about his breathing. It gives me too much time to think, tho, about the downhill progress and the future. I've been totally housebound for a week because I don't want to leave when he is not doing well. Thank goodness for the computer and sites like myLot where I can leave the house without leaving!

oh, please don't be so blue. you know that everything will change for the best. you need to be positive all the time and you will notice how the things will change for you. Be a nice and loving wife for your husband and he will love you for the rest of his life and will do his best to make you happy! good luck to you!

I am really sorry as it sounds like your husband is not too good. This must be really hard on you. I am glad you have somewhere like this site to at least find people to converse with and share your feelings. It makes you realise how alone people must have been at these times before Internet etc allowed us to keep in contact with others even when stuck at home. I do think the Internet is a god send to the housebound and I hope I can always have access to the Internet as I get older. I hope everything goes well for you.

I really admire your strength in this situation. It sounds like it's been an exhausting time for both you and your husband. I'm still pretty young, but I've been helping my aunt take care of my uncle a few weeks out of every summer after my uncle had his stroke. And, every time it's so emotionally and mentally draining to me. He is one of my uncles that treated me like a daughter, and I really love and respect him. That's why I admire my aunt for her strength, to be there round the clock as his caregiver.
Hopefully, you'll get some relief soon. And, hopefully you have others close by to support you and take over an hour or two every once in awhile. *hugs*
