Have you ever saved a life? Would you save a stranger if it meant risking your own life?

I have never saved a life so far and hope that I won't be in a situation when I have to save anyone's life, because it is great responsibility. What if I won't succeed? what if I won't be able to save the life? I would be very upset.

That's true but just coz of that negative thought that if you won't be able to save that life how come you neglect a try to save that life?
