What is Workers' Compensation like in your Country?

If you are injured in your job there is Workers' Compensation to assist in re-training and job placement in a new occupation in the USA. What about your Country is there something that is equivalent if you get hurt while working?

I don't know a lot about it. I know it is available, but not sure if it is only in big companies or is actually a law. I work for a small mom and pop company with about 12 employees, no insurance, no paid sick time, etc. so am not sure what would happen if I got hurt on the job.
