I watched the movie Eragon tonight. It's a movie about a 17 year old who finds a dragon egg. He turns out to be chosen to be a dragonrider and help in the fight against an evil tyrannic king. The special effects are awesome and it was very suspenseful. Have you seen this movie? What did you think about it?

I actually loved the movie and think it is one of the better movie adaptations from Hollywood. The best part is that the book is the first one by writer Christopher Paolini and the movie is the first one to be directed by Stefen Fangmeir. Given this backdrop both the movie and book have come out real good. You can check out my complete review of the movie and book at: http://www.epinions.com/content_340066012804 http://www.epinions.com/content_240926166660 Cheers! Ram

I watched the movie also but I didn't get too excited about it because it was all so predictable to me. I liked the movie the 'Lord of the Rings - Return of the King' much better because it left you feeling good afterwards. All in all the movie was entertaining but it didn't offer anyting new as to the twist and story line.

Personally, after reading the book and watching the movie, I gotta say the movie fares worse than the book. It's one of the worst book adaptation I've watched. The scenes which are supposed to be great are all lame. The director did not do a great job. I get a feel as if he wants to rush and get everything done in a short time. Although the special effects are nice, the storyline is totally ruined. As a fan of the Inheritence Trilogy, I find this is very sad indeed.
