Has anyone ever ordered these recipes? Well I did and let me tell you they're not that great! and I don't mean they don't taste great either
For my first real attempts at cooking I decided to try making
First I decided to make a stew and of course it doesn't say the size of the slow cooker so I figured out too late that our slow cooker was too small! What a Mess! but the food turned out ok
Then buttermilk biscuits which for some reason the dough was quite dry but again turned out ok but as I said a little dry
Then peanut butter cookies and the problem with those is there was no flour literally the recipe called for peanut butter, an egg, and brown sugar that was all... they're a little sweet and quite flat but edible...
then cinnamon rolls which I am still waiting for the finished results hope those turn out good although recipe was off again because it called for too little flour
Things I have learned from these recipes
1. if the recipe makes 8 servings cut it down to 4
2. use a little more milk in the buttermilk biscuits
3. DO NOT use this recipe for peanut butter cookies
4. Find new recipe for cinnamon rolls
5. Prep and cook time always longer than stated
6. always makes less or more than quoted
7. Clean up takes for ever
8. just write down recipes from books and internet... dont buy them

Cooking to me is always about trial and error. That is how we learn and get better at things. No matter where you get a recipe from cooking times will vary, because not every slow cooker, stove, or oven is made the same. Plus you also have to factor in altitude. If you are in a higher elevation you will have to add on to your cooking time.
As far as the clean up is concerned, fill your sink with warm soapy water and clean as you go. After putting all your ingredients together wash all measuring utilities, spoons, forks. Etc. etc. If used wash out mixing bowl after placing whatever was made in that mixing bowl in the oven. I think you get the point. Cleaning as you go along will lessen the mess, and you will avoid dried, stuck on food.

trust me I was cleaning as I go I didn't mean the dishes as a mess I meant general kitchen clealiness... for instance the stew bubbled over the slow cooker several times and the dough for the cinnamon buts wasn't actually ready to knead, too little flour (looked at other recipes and they all call for more than 2 cups of flour.) so I had a gooey mess all over the counter... luckily my roommate knew I would clean up so no big deal but still comical with me wrist deep in sticky icky dough
