I can hardly believe this. I was watching a game show just an hour ago and the contestants were students who have graduated from high school at a late age. And the host, Edu Manzano, specifically stated that "Tatay Nick" who's already at his early 70's now is the current librarian at La Salle University Night School. And was able to finally graduate from high school at age 68. Now, he's working as a librarian at school, still active and a very nice man. If it's not because of financial problems, he would have graduated at a very early age. I was totally shock when I heard this and at the same time was moved by this. I pity him so much and also proud at him for still trying to reach what he always dreamed about when he was young. And now, I'm so thankful that GOd had provide me with good parents who are able to send me to school though we are not a rich family.

I have seen this game show too. And I also was kinda shock upon knowing that this 68-year old guy had just graduated from High school. Well, Edu Manzano didn't give us really the details as to why it happened that way. What he only mentioned was the lack of financing with "TAtay Nick". Well, I'm still proud of him that despite on what other people would say, he still manage to continue and have that diploma. I don't think Tatay Nick is dull or a slow learner. Maybe, he's that smart, only that they had financial problems. :)

It goes to show you are never to old to learn and to go back to school. I dropped out myself, when I was 23 I decided I needed to get my GED and get myself into college. I first started looking at colleges around my area. I talk to a few of them and found a program to fit me. I made an appointment with Addmissions and took a test and enrolled for the Winter classes. I had 3 month to get my GED so I could start. I did acomplish it and started college classes that January. I am glad I didn't wait as long as he did, but it goes to prove that learning should be a life time goal, because you can always learn something you didn't know before.
