Is it fair to criticise only Chappel?

I thought India's ouster from the WC is a collective failure. All the players and the coach are equally responsible. The Indian players in general are committed to the game. They have their own agendas. Sachin is no longer a great player. He was. But now in ever world class team there at least 3-4 better batsmen than Sachin. Why to balme only Chappel? In the majority of the games when India won on the trot there was no Sachin and no Ganguly. Why dont people recollect these things?

Not at all..What did he do?He trained the players properly and gave them enough and much techniques to play and cared for individual players...Its the batsmen(bowlers did a decent job) who failed miserably in the cup...Its the players who are supposed to go out in the middle and deliver...Coch cant do anyhting about that..Ther is no point in critising chappel for the loss...

u r right..greg is not d 1, or may be the only 1 to be blamed..except some players lik Sachin, Sehwag..the team was right for the WC..just what was needed was mentally strong minds..they crumbled up just lik they hv done be4, many times.. i also want 2 c sachin play..i lik him, but that dusnt mean that he shud stay in d team like dis..just lik ganguly, he has 2 go out of the team, practise in the domestic matches & make his OWN way back 2 d team..

ya... its not only the fault of chappell... it is the fault of whole team. in indian team the major drawback is they always depend on only one man either sachn or ganguly or something like that . they dont play with team efforts so they rather fail. they should learn something from australian team.we have very good potential team. but we are not using that potential.... anyways we are still having a hope that they will be back with a bang after this world cup. this is what we can expect from them

Excuse me my friend there was no Chappell in the Natwest Series there was no Chappell in the 2003 World cup, there was no Chappell when India won in Pakistan drew in Australia blasted the lankans and initially mr chappell played in harmony with the team and then he spread mistrust and groupism in the team cos he could control things only when he would split the team to justify and increase his importance in the team and ehich he did by targetting ganguly and then kaif and then pathan and then dhoni and lastly sehwag and Dravid how ???? Let me explain all the players i mentioned everyone played great parts in the victories i mentioned above and it showed NO CHAPPELL he went after ganguly for fitness issues imposed responsibilty by appointing kaif and yuvi as feilding coached and captains they concentrated on others feilding and forgot about their needs Mr pathan and shewag started practising all rounder stuff, Mr dhoni was postered as god and then used dravid to manipulate and created camps loyal to dravid and ganguly and as the saying goes when the cats fight the monkey always wins so i hope now u see it and stop supporting that CHAPPEL

It's fair to blame only chappel for debacle of Indian cricket team he was the one who did all the experiments on the Indian cricket team. He did experiments on Pathan and Kaif due to this they lost their confidence and did play in the world cup. Pathan was supposed to be an essential part of chappel plan for the world cup win but he didn't even play in a single match.

Its not fair to blame the coach alone. As you said its whole teams performance that lead to this humiliating defeat. Its true that India won many times without sachin.I think its high time to include many new young players who perform at their best level in domestic matches rather than the selection committee depending upon seniority and reputation.Off course iam a great fan of sachin but want his inclusion in the team but not always as there are lot of players waiting for a chance who should be given an opportunity.

All the players and coach are equally responsible for it. When India won the match earlier there was no Sachin and Ganguly. There are 2 to 3 players who can play better then Sachin. But why to blame only Chappell.
