what are you doing with old cd's?

A friend of mine makes them into little pigs that you can hang up.All you need is two CD's some thin foam pads,marker,string and glue.She cuts the foam pads out in the shape of the pigs head,legs and a little corkscrew tail....plus a string long enough so you can hang it.She then places everything between two CD's and glues it together.With the marker she draws the eyes(or you can use the glue on eyes form arts and crafts stores) and any other detail she wants to add. You can make them into any other animal that you like....the possibilitys are endless.Have fun!!!

It is frustrating that they can't be recycled yet. i hope they are working on it and that it happens soon. Here in the UK we are always getting free CDs and DVDs in the newspapers - I have a big box of them and can sometimes give them away but not always. It;'s a terrible waste - I am sure most of them get thrown away I use one to stand my cup of coffee on at work but I only have room for one cup of coffee! I would love to hear some more ideas for re-using them

Well I Used to Have a Lot Of Useless Cd,s Around me. Which Were My Collections at First. But Gaved Them to my Friend. As There Was a Saying. One Man,s Garbage is Another,s Gold.

I usually save them for recycling. There is a company I can send them to for recycling. Its called ACT recycling, but I have to send it to them.

hmm, really good question. I also have a lot of old useless cd's and don't know what to do with them. I think they are already out of order, so I guess I will just through them away, cause I see no other way of using them. I will keep an eye on this discussion, maybe someone will have a better idea. thank you
