I am one of those people who can’t seem to make through the day without coffee. The first thing that I do upon waking up in the morning is make coffee since I can’t also seem to start the day without coffee. Coffee, coffee and more coffee. So for those people out there who drink 3 or more cups of coffee everyday, there is no need to be guilty for imbibing so much coffee because they actually have some health benefits as what I have read in some studies: 1. lowers risk of type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, colon cancer, liver cirrhosis, gallstones. 2. stop headache 3. boost mood and prevents depression 4. reduce cavities 5. can control asthma attacks 6. enhances endurance and performance 7. loaded with antioxidants

I only had 1 cup of coffee for that past 2 days and boy! I had headaches for the past 2-days. I guess its really true that coffee can prevent headaches.

Actually coffee does have a lot of health properties. One does still have to be careful not to over consume however because of the effects caused by caffeine.

I also read that the benefits of taking more coffee could actually outweight the negative effects. However, one should be careful and take things in moderation. Thanks for responding!

I've heard the one about Parkinsons. That is good news indeed. It prevents depression or so I hear. I think that's just because of the caffiene. I drink tea and get similar effects because of the low dose of caffiene and it has anti-oxidents too. I would love to drink brewed coffee for all the health benefits you mentioned. I might take up the coffee habit again. Thanks for the info.

I really doubt these claims because this changes from time to time. More often it depends on whose making the survey and they always quote science with it. I drink coffee maybe a few times week. I drink it just to wake me up but i don't drink it everyday since there's a tendency that i crave for it the more frequent i drink it. Besides, i know for a fact that it contains caffeine which is addicting. I also notice that the more i drink coffee my heart palpitates and i get nervous. If ever i start to feel that way that my queue to take less of it. I think 1 cup a day is enough more than that is already too much for me.
