A lot of us seem to enjoy Easter Egg hunt during Easter Sundays. But do we actually know the story behind it and how it came to be and it's meanings? Since my daughter asked, I was compelled to do some research. I have found out that the 'Easter Eggs' story came to be on the morning of Jesus Christ Resurrection. As what was told in the Bible, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb of Jesus together with some women. As many of us knew, they were bringing food with them to share with each other and legend says that Mary Magdalene was actually bringing cooked eggs. When Jesus appeared to the women and asking them why should they be looking the living among the dead, the eggs in Mary Magdalene's basket turned red which is actually the meaning of dyeing the eggs during Easter. Easter eggs symbolizes the miraculous transformation and re-creation of the whole world by the victorious resurrection of Christ.
