Have you ever met an Online Friend or Date in person?

I have been chatting for quite a long period of time in my high school days but never really met up with anyone. During college I have been aquainted to chatting again, and there was this guy that I chatted with, and he ended up asking for my number so we can be textmates. I never really found anything wrong with that then, make new friends. But then the texting turned to phone calls, and he wanted to meet up, which I never really did ever with people I knew online. And so, since he wanted to, he met me up at school and sent me home. That's the first and last time we met in person. He wanted more but I was not attracted to him. And it figures that he didn't even want us to be friends if it couldn't be more than that.

I've met quite a few people in person that I've met online. I've met all of them on a message board that I frequent and I've always met them in person. I trust them all because I know them pretty well and know what to expect. I've maintained friendships with just about all of the people I've met in person. Some of them I've lost touch with mostly because I don't know how to contact them anymore.

Yes i met two friends. One of whom lives in the city where i love and the otherone is in anoother city. One of them came to my house, we had a very good time. I went to the other one, at his office, and talk to him there. I havent met any girl yet, in person.

Yes I met some people that I knew on internet. One was a brazilian person that came here in Portugal, she asked her parents to go to my town and we met there, we had lunch and talked a lot. It was very funny, unfornately I don't talk very much with her, it's rare to see her in msn and sometimes we chat :) I met two other persons but they were from Portugal so it wasn't so impossible. I was invited to a party of my online friend. I had a really good time, I continue to talk with her and she's very friendly. At the same party I met another person but I don't talk very much with her but we still have our moments. I wish I met others persons that I chat online ^_^

I met a few online friends in person. We're still friends. I lost touch with one of them.

It wasn't exactly online it was on one of those phone chat lines I met my wife she was the simplest oldfashion value person on the line so I decided to talk to her I used to get on just to hear the adds but she caught my attention after about two months of talking we met she is a very beautiful woman but now that we have been married for a year now she seems to ignore me I mean come on even women that hate their other half at least yell at them. I think she feels trapped with no way out but she won't talk to me but back to the topic yeh I net someone online (Kinda) Phone LINE!!!!!

I met my boyfriend (might as well be husband) in an Yahoo Groups Multiple Sclerosis (MSFriends2) support group. We knew each other online and by phone for about 5 years before we got together. We have now been together for 3 1/2 years.

I have had very close friendships over the internet for the past 8 years. I have always wanted to meet all of them. Out of them, one girl who lives in Norther India has been my friend since 2001. A couple of times it so happened that we almost had got a chance to see each other in person. But at the last moment the plan had to be cancelled for some reason or the other. Finally she started working in 2005 and came to a city which is 200 km from mine. In December 2005 we finally got to see each other in person. It was a wonderful feeling. Having talked only over internet and phone for 5 years, it was somewhat difficult to believe immediately. I'll always remember that day. We've met several times after that and we talk on phone.
