Once again, you’ve spoken, and we’ve listened!
For some time now, myLot users have been asking for more ways to customize, more ways to participate, and more ways to make money. With this upgrade, you can now experience myLot in a whole new way.
The first thing you will notice is a completely revamped, customizable home page. We encourage you to play around and make it your own.
We can’t say this enough… the more interests you add, the better your home page will be!
Any box that you see can be dragged around and customized as you see fit. You can add boxes by clicking on “add content” near the top of the page.
Don’t worry about goofing something up. You can always revert back to the original, default layout by clicking on the “reset to default layout” at the bottom of the page.
You will also notice that we now syndicate articles from thousands of different bloggers and (for users from the United States) from the Associated Press. You can discuss these blog and news articles just like any normal discussion. Of course, your contributions are valuable to us, so earnings are awarded for your participation in these discussions. (We’re looking into news sources for non-US users, but this upgrade will only include United States news.)
Finally, we’ve enhanced the customization capabilities on your profile pages. Our users who know HTML or have a website of their own will love the “HTML sorties” which offer unlimited potential. Use these HTML sorties to promote yourself, your website, your pets, your business, whatever you want!
There’s much more that we haven’t discussed here. Start exploring!

Thanks for the upgrade! It might be confusing at first but I like it anyhow. I'm starting to explore more of the features especially the blog part. So, my question is, can we blog whatever blogs we want? Or are there any limitations on the blog posts? :)

That is a good question I never thought about that I love the fact that they are doing the new changes I often wonder if the will bring a few games to mylot for people to play as like a break from typing or something but I love the site and hope that there will be something about rather there are limitations to the blogs.

I think the answer is inffirmative.BLOG is for everyone who want to express thier opinion. But every thing has its limitaions.Becouse each matter has the custom ,then can not chaotic..

It's all good but the syndication is absolutely awesome! It will give us quality content to discuss automatically. It's going to make is sooo much easier to find good discussions. I love it. My sorties don't seem to be working on my profile, and I can't figure out where you go to change your avatar and homepage link, but even with those frustrations, the fact that you can customize what you see on the main page and especially the syndication make this well, well worth it.
Oh, I can't get my blog to work either, but will keep working on it. That's another fantastic addition.

Is it possible to change the size of the sorties? The message box for instance is smaller than the rest, giving the profile page an uneven look. :P

I saw that too. Place your cursor over the box and on the bottom right a plus or minus sign comes up and you can add or remove lines of content.

..you've probably discovered this, but if we hover at the top right of the "sortie" box, "reload, edit, and X(delete)" comes up..
So far I can't get the "edit" to work..(?)

Now I feel like an idiot!
I didn't know we could add content.
I had been upset that my links were gone. Jeez.
Guess I should have waited for the update alert before I got all bent out of shape.
FYI--there are a lot of ppl bent out of shape about it...probably not as many as those that are tickled tho.

I have no idea what all this means. All I can see is that US users will get the most benefit along with people who are proficient in the use of blogging (whatever that means) and other similar programmes ofr applications or whatever.
I guess it's one way of weeding out people who are not up to speed.

So far, looks like a very cool set of upgrades!
I especially like the newsfeeds and blogfeeds-- that will add a lot of interesting content from outside... which, in turn, I feel certain will add to the quality of content that will be created within the site.
Having a little trouble viewing profiles at the moment, but I suspect not everything is quite "live" or entirely bug-free yet... such it often goes, with changes.

I gotta admit am still a lil confused with the changes on the layouts and everything on the homepage... but they seem to be great though..maybe I just need to spend a couple more minutes navigating and exploring things around, and after then am pretty sure I'd love it... More power to mylot and everyone of us here... :)

Thank you so much for making mylot such a great learning experience and so worthwhile and lucrative for us mylotters. So many of the responses here are so good, I do hope mylot will answer all of the questions. Some of the answers are already on the mylot faqs page so do be sure to go and check it out.
I do hope mylot will answer questions here in ths thread as it would make it easier to get the answers out to all of us; that is the answers that are not already at the faqs page.
Again thanks and I do look forward to brwosing around in a few days at all of the new profile pages my friends will create.

It will take some time to learn all the new features, but some are useful and I am sure I will like most of it when I learn more.
There is a little glitch though, I tried to delete one of my photos but came to a page that is usually shown to someone who wants to comment and rate my photo.
I don´t think you mean that we should be able to rate our own photos.
And how do I delete a photo?
I am sure you will deal with this technical thing soon.

I am impressed and still haven´t seen it all =) I will take some time later on to check all the new things out. mylot is definately improving though and I am glad to see it!
