Concealled Carry/ Gun Laws

Everytime concealled carry legislation goes to the office of Our illustrious Governor of Wisconsin (King Jim Doyle), he vetoes it. His main argument against private citizens carrying concealled weapons is, "I just don't want to see Wisconsin become 'the old west'." While being colorful, his argument is childish at worst and irrelevant at best. If no other state in the US had concealled carry laws then he may be able to make a point with his argument. However, since only 2 states currently ban concealled weapons of any kind (WI and IL) his argument doesn't go very far. Milwaukee is the most violent city in Wisconsin. Not only in Wisconsin, but it is quickly becoming one of the most violent cities in the US. The murder rate jumped more than 10 times in as many years. It's getting to the point that the people of Milwaukee WISH it was as tame as the "old west". Some city officials have even suggested that the governor should call out the National Guard to help law enforcement quell the violence. Hey DOYLE! I know you hate freedom for everyone but your criminal self, but wouldn't it be better to pull your head out of your butt long enough to see what's going on. You continue to support a murderers "right" to go unchallenged while plying his trade, while at the same time treating the victims as criminals! Concealled carry has more than proven itself, it's time for Wisconsin to join the 21st Century and quit supporting the criminal!

I totally agree. We, as an American people, have a right to keep and bear arms. Here is a great website with a lot of good information. http://www.constitution.org/mil/rkba1982.htm
