Well friends, about a month ago I posted a discussion about going ack to college. I'm sooooo happy to tell you that today I really did it. I enrolled and filled out my financial aid forms to start working on my paralegal degree!!! My first semester starts on May 7 and I can't wait! I just wanted to say "thanks" to everybody here who encouraged me to do this and gave all their help to me with the links for financial assistance. So, THANKS A MILLION!

a few years back i enrolled to take continuing care....things didnt work out and i had to drop out near the end, had i not i would have made honors...but my kids needed me. anyhow, i will be returning in sept and my boys will be begginging primary. its gonna be a busy year but im really excited and scared. i think i'll pull through tough. cross your fingers for me. what are you studying?

Congratulations. A college degree is well worth it. You will benefit enormously.
The course you have chosen, paralegal studies should be very interesting.

Well, my dear lordwarwizard. So glad to see that you're still with us. I hope you plan on staying around. I'm sure my excitement will wear off as soon as the stress and reality of school catch up with me. I do love learning though, it's part of what keeps me going. Thanks for the congrats! Huge congratulations and pats on the back! That is something to be very proud of. You are taking the first step toward making yourself self sufficient. Just take it one day at a time and study hard. Do your best and you will be graduating in no time! And don't forget we are here for you if it gets overwhelming and you need to vent or moral support. We have faith in you!

hey congratulations, I believe that you would be the happiest guy on the earth today for yourself,coz this one point of happiness is somethin i am still looking forward at.... because my college results are still to be out... lets see how much more time do i actually need to hang on, patiently, something I acquire the least!!! But turly man, someone's achievement in ths fiekld makes me so so gald for him--- coz may be at the same time some or the other where, I do bear this is my heart,,,,that may be tomorrow I too would be selected!!!

Oh finster, that is awesome. I am a college nursing professor and I can tell you with no reservation that 'non-traditional' (the name given to students as yourself who come back later in life) are the best!!! These student's life experiences is such a help in understanding people and course material. They also are more vested in learning. Congrats to you for making your dream a reality!
