few days ahead would be the holy week. i plan to go to my cousin's place in their farm. i already missed the fruits and native delicacies they prepare during this time of the year. i missed too, the fresh vegetables and fresh air. i'd be staying in their farm until sunday. of course, i won't forget to go to church on good friday. how about you what are your plans for the holy week?

I'll be spending more time with my mother this coming Holy week. She will go to my house in the metropolis. I asked her to bring some copies of church songs so we can go over it every now and then. I love to sing praises. My mother will be the guitarist and we'll sing the songs together. Also, I planned to undergo some fasting. My mother and I planned to eat vegetables only on those days. We forbid ourselves in eating meat and in eating more. Gluttony is prohibited, of course. I want to bond with my mother. We've been away for quite sometime now.

i'll just be staying in our place, at home and spent the time with my family attending holy mass for the different days and spare a time for relaxation maybe going to the beach on easter. it's only this moment that i could complete my 24 hours at home, after that back to work again.

you remind me of my mom. she loves her farm so much. she's so attuned to nature. anyway, i will just be staying at home with my mom and siblings. i already bought lots of movies on DVDs so we can watch loads of it until saturday. it might sound boring to some, but for us, it's one good time to enjoy movies together at the comfort of our own home.

one most important activity i suggest is meditation. give yourself time to reflect, things you failed to do, things you achieved, things you forgot to do. and lay everything to Him.

As some of other's plans did go as it was planned, I am happy to let everyone know that I will be spending the last three days of the week on the beach. Partying, enjoying the sun, put up a bonfire at night along the beach sands and maybe have a drink or two with some of my friends. I wish I also had a relative who has a farm nearby, that would be a different experience for me. And also a good place to reflect, as I guess, I would be a peaceful place to be at..

Actually i want to spend it in bagiuo or tagaytay, the best place for reflection. Or maybe in batangas where there are many old churches. But i find it a little creepy.

My plans this holyweek is just stay at home, watch dvds with the kids. I'll take this opportunity to have a longer time with kids/family. Me and my husband are so occupied with work, so if there are times that are off at work, we make sure that we spend it with the kids. Go to mass. Cook delicacies at home. :)

I will spend my holy week also in our province in Quezon. It's my mother's and sister's birthday and they want to celebrate it in one of the beach resort in Sariaya, Quezon. I know it will be a lot of fun for all of us.

hope you won't just be thinking of fun or enjoyment this holy week. give yourself, too extra time to reflect, the things you did either bad or good and the better things you want to do.

I guess I'll be working that time. And I'm in a place where Holy Week is not really observed. I came from the Philippines where Holy Week is really observed so I miss the activities we do during that time. I miss going to church, listening to the 7 last words of Jesus, joining the procession and a lot more. And most of all,I miss being with the whole family coz that's the time of the year where families get together.

I will spend it in my own room. LOL. Well, basically, I just want to reflect on my life. Realize the mistakes that I've done in the past and ask forgiveness from God. I think that's the true meaning of Holy Week. It's about reflecting and asking forgiveness. In the end, of course I will also thank Him for all the blessings he had given to me and to my family. - Ron Reyes www.ronreyes.co.nr

My birthday this year falls on the Holy Week period! As much as I'd want to throw a big birthday bash, it'd be better if I just spend it with the family. We'll probably go to church, attend a retreat and pray the rosary together.
