WTF? Sanjaya's still on American Idol?

The Freak (and I thought he was on the Philadelphia Eagles!) is still on...this (as well as last season's win by Karaoke King Taylor Hicks) just goes to show that American does NOT know good music. Hopefully singing with Tony Bennett next week will finally get rid of the guy!

I cannot stand this kind of TV programme .. I don't want to be entertained by 'nobodies' .. I do see bits here and there on trailers in between programmes and to be honest they are awful ..
I don't mind watching a final .. by then they should at least be half decent singers ..

I agree...last year's winner is quite dreadful. I liked the first winner, Kelly Clarkson. Beyond that the only one I really liked wasn't even a winner--Chris Daughtry. Oh well, perhaps they'll start figuring it out and get it right!

Do you think that there's something else there? I remember the year that Hawaii finally had auditions and the girl that made the top ten stayed soley for the fact that she was from Hawaii (then America woke up and realized she wasn't good enough!) I'm of the opinion that people think that someone is safe and then chose to vote for someone else. I gave up voting after Clay and Rueben battled it out. Perhaps this is the reason I rarely watch the show (only for the controversial stuff!)

I don't really watch American Idol, but keep up on the goings on. I just had to comment...I loved how you phrased that..."Karaoke King Taylor Hicks". Seriously, the guy doesn't have much talent, other than being a Jay Leno look-alike. Thanks for making me smile.

Your welcome! Catherine McPhee and Chris Daughtry have done soooo much better--those Ford commercials he did were so forgettable! No wonder Ford's sales slipped last year, LOL. But I think Simon referred to him the same way--better suited to sing karaoke than anything.

Yes I saw it and actually at the momets I am too disgusted to say much about it. I'll stop before I get mad but it has completely spoiled the show for me and if there were not couple of of people I think are very good I would not bother watching again as it is so obviosly "Fixed".
