WORDS without ACTION are WORTHLESS

To me, these words mean a lot to me. I live and breath them everyday. Anybody can say the perfect words to you but if these words are not produced by the actions of such words they are only words and are worthless. What do you think?

I agree with you 100%. People can say anything but if their actions are saying something else, what are you supposed to believe - what they say or what they do? My parents are the perfect example of this enigma. To listen to my parents words - they don't like anything about me, my life, the choices I've made, the fact that I am not always able to handle some of the hard things in life, the panic attacks that I have, the way I raised my daughter, basically everything about me they don't like because they put me down in every way, everything that I do. Now that sounds bad, doesn't it? That's what every word out of their mouth says but their actions are a little different thank God or I don't think I'd ever speak to them again! My parents actions are kindness personified. They help me whenever I am in trouble, they give me rides to the doctor whenever I need to go, they will loan money when I really need it basically they are there in my time of need every single time. So that says some sort of love to me! Here's the bad part of that though, they really say awfully mean things and it's an emotional pain so I avoid them most of the time. I wish their words could match their actions! Thank you for the though-provoking question. I need to think about it some more. LOL

Yes you are right about that. Action speaks louder than words. that what I was told. that is all I can say, let's see what everyone else has to say.

I agree. People say a lot of things. It is when a person takes action that you know their true character.

Are we sisters? haha, your right, words are empty without an action to go with them. When someone says 'i love you' it's just 3 words unless they can show it, with a loving gesture, a touch, kiss, whatever, and so many other things.... For me, actions will always speak louder than words, because too many words have been empty when spoken to me.

"Actions speak louder than Words" is the old saying and I believe it - when you say something it's nothing but words but when you live your life the way you say it is going to reflect on others. Example I'll use myself - I can say daily that I am a Christian but it doesn't really mean much if my actions don't show that I am a Christian.

What you said is pretty true. Words without action are worthless... to a certain extent. I have learned from experience that one must always support your opinions with action - otherwise, one is better off no saying anything.
