That ANYTHING you have ever written here is public too everyone? Not only readable for members here, therefor we write of course, but for the whole world to know! I have been a member here under a different username and just found out how embarrissing it is that someone who knows your username/nickname can read all you have written here before. I wont be working on my formal account, I made a new one, this one. Dont be shocked if you have found out I no longer exists. If you are my truely friend I will look up your username in the old situation, and bring you here new in. Be careful what you write here about. This is nice, but it isnt so nice if you knew the whole world is watching you.....

Can you just change your username on mylot instead of cancelling the old one and then creating a new one? I try to watch what I say here on mylot in order to not be embarrassed if somebody that knows me reads my posts but sometimes I forget. Thanks for reminding us vogelvrij.

I have once asked mylot administration to remove a discussion out of my list of discussions I have answered already in. But that is very hard for them to do. It has to do with the earnings the people, and yourself, already made with the postings. That have to be withdrawn than. And that is a hell of a job for them. I understand that. And we should be as cautious as we can by reveiling some secret information, information we dont want other family/friends want to read. In my case I have written something so secret myself that in the old account there was no room anymore to get referalls out of my family. Very little time you dont want your family to know something very special about what happened before in your life. I told in a discussion. You can not change usernames for the same reasons as they can not delete postings that are already there. So I decided to make this new account myself. I had over 200 postings on the other username yet, a very good star rating and I made already once the payout level and was at the 1/5 for next month. But if you want that account closed all the earnings are gone also. I accepted that and started now out here, truly fresh. The username vogelvrij means in English free as a bird, that is a better name for me. I need to take care of my own secrets. And so are you all, too. Be just carefull!

Someone on another site told me about that. It's really scary considering I was using the same name for most of my sites.

I only can hope that you have now another username and working with that? Its just so nice to be here but NOT so nice to see your discussions go all over the internet! You have a rather anonymous username, does this name give you also the possibility of other people reading your posts?

This name is a totally different one and I will do that from now on. Better late than never, I guess.

Interesting thought, I will definitely look up my user name, I use a couple of different user names for different sites, so will try both, I don't think it matters that all my work is displayed over the internet all over the world, If my advice or discussions help people then that's a good thing. That's why it is advisable never to publish delicate or sensitive information like addresses/phone numbers and stuff you wouldn't want your family to hear about!

Thank you for highlighting this fact. I didn't know my comments would be plastered for everyone to see. I guess that is how mylot get their traffic from. That is also the reason why we tagged our discussions - so people can read them after doing a search on a particular topic. - Lyn
