Jump in a Time Machine

Okay, so let's say that tomorrow someone invents a time machine which can beam a human to any time period in history. Where would you want to go and why? I would love to go to around 10,000 years in the future and see how the course of human history is molded and what new technological advances people have made. Does the current world still exist or have humans colonized other galaxies, planets? How is the environment? What are the value systems? These are the questions I would love to have answered if I could travel years into the future. If I went to the past, I'd love to explore ancient Greece or perhaps the Ice Ages. I think seeing how former civilizations lived can teach us a lot about our own.
