Schwarzenegger and Education

Schwarzenegger has once again screwed us over with Education. Since he didnot allocate the appropriate funds towards education, college students suffer. Each time this man has been in office, college tuition has been raised by 10%. Now, the professors are getting together and complaining that they did not get enough of an increase. The state isn't going to pay for it, so ince again college tuition rates are going to be raised IF theese professors get their way.
The ASI of the schools are SUPPOSED to speak for the students, but rather than doing so, ASI is going to either side with the professors or the state. They need to get out ther and talk to the students and see what WE have to say about this all. Problem is, if the professors decide to strike, college students in this semester/trimester/quarter may lose all their hours and they will not get a refund for this time they have spent TRYING to go to school. The professors have a contract to not strike durring the school year, but they are currently thinking of breaking contract. All those poor students will lose their hours which they have alreadty put into class and will not get the money back that they spent.
What's more, is now this is going to limit even more who can go to school. The upper class, or rich people will be able to pay for school and they will thrive. The lower class or poor people will qualify for the grants and be able to go to school on someone else's dollar. The middle class will be completely singled out. The middle class don't make enough money to pay for schooling, yet make too much to qualify for most grants. See the problem here?

college is becoming almost an elitist thing again.
it's become so expensive everywhere, many people cannot afford it.almost all the schools near me are those ivy league ones-just one term's price can cause a heart attack.
all those students losing time paid in..that is so wrong.they deserve compensation-either time credit or money.

They definitely deserve compensation! The professors are talking about doing rolling strikes instead so students won't lose their hours...but even with that, they aren't getting all the information they would have been getting and won't do as well on the final unless the professor changes the final to compensate for missed days.

It is common knowledge in California. Look at the news. Look at newspapers. Look at news sited online. Schwarzenegger didn't allocate the proper funds to education. Tuition costs went up 10% each time he has been in office. They just went up again. They are going to go up YET AGAIN if the profewsors get their way.
