Hi Guys, What's your opinion about the Pak - Ire affair? Do you think it was fixed? Inside sources say that the bookies had all the say. Is it true?

It looks as though it has been fixed. the way the pakistan players played against ireland and the way they lost the match, it looks it has been fixed. these days the game of cricket has lost its glory and now being controlled by underworld.

This is a World Cup not a small tournament. Ireland must be credited for their superb performance.

well baut me the match was nt fixed...its simply an hoax in people's mind tht if a poor team(ireland) wins over a good team (pakistan) then they think that the match was fixed ....they dont think that pakistan might have thought that ireland being an unexperienced team will never b able to win over them..bt on the contrary situation was just reversed...

D manner in which d game's played hints dat it might b fixed as it's quite usual in cricket dese days. Moreover, d murder of woolmer also suspects dat he was bout 2 reveal d fixing secrets in his book. Also, I feel Indians fixed deir match not only against Bangladesh but against Sri Lankans as well coz dey hv d best batting line up which couldn't even score 200 in either matches dat it play. Shame on both d sub-continent teams. Sri Lankan r quite better dan dem. Dey hv proved dis again as dey entered d super 8 at d top.

Hi!! Actually my answer to this discussion is in a twin manner.Like I'm giving it in a positive and a negative way, because none is sure as to what happened. Bob Woolmer's murder immediately after Pak's shock loss to Ireland actually brings the fixing scandal into a new light. I feel that all these are interlinked. Moreover it has become a general tendency for people to write off the minnows. And if they win we all feel that the match is fixed. But in reality they work alot to atleast try an play their best. So on the other hand I feel that Ireland has given the performance of their lifetime.

I think the match was not fixed. It was Pakistan's poor batting which led to the debacle. If they would have added 50 more runs then they would have won the match. Don't forget the pitch that was a green top wicket and ball was swinging.

no i dont think so. i dont think pakisthan has to fix the match with such a minnow. it is the matter of pride. pak wud have won the game but unfortunately they didnt may be there are many other factors for which pak has failed to deliver its best. i think in a fresh game of cricket anything can happen. the very relevent example was wat happened with both india and pak in their group games. unfortunately two asian gaints out of crickets mega event. unbelievable but its the fact!! we need to accept it but i think there is no role of match fixing in it!!!!!
