rating on mylot

Hi all, how is rating on mylot carried out. What's the criteria for rating? I saw a star with number 9 but now its become number 3. What could be the reason? Please I need your responses urgently.

it could be that the person wasnt very active or posted alot of one word answers to questions.Those two things could greatly lower your rating.
