Don't You Love the Songs in the 80's?

I grew up listening to the radio most of the time and I particularly love the music during the late 80's and early 90's. They have character. Each time the radio deejay happened to play one of the songs in the 80's, I would be in nostalgia..... Who are your favorite singers or groups back then? Sigh... I do miss those moments when I was still an impressionable teenager in love............Sheena Easton, Bruce Springsteen, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Cyndi Lauper, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, lots and lots of them....

I'm rapidly approaching Middle Age, and you have just stumbled on to my 'prime', when I was a teenager, and nightclubbing! It really was a magnificent time to be a teenager, possibly rivalling the 1960s.
Having noticed 'bad hair' & 'bad clothing' in the keywords, I feel it is only right to confess that I was a 'New Romantic', or 'Peacock Punk', as we where known in the UK. As such, I could earn you about $10.00 by listing all the bands and music I used to listen, too. Unfortunately, my 2 typing fingers would also be stubs by the end, so I'll just name a couple;
Sheffield (a small city famous for steel) gave us Heaven 17, the Human League, Def Leppard & the great 'ABC', whose 'Lexicon of Love' album is wonderful!
Liverpool (home of Gerry & the Pacemakers, Atomic Kitten, & some little known 4-piece band) brought us Frankie Goes To Hollywood, the Teardrop Explodes, and the incredibly talented 'Echo and the Bunnymen'
My own city, Manchester (Centre of the Civilised World) was home to the Happy Mondays, 808 State, the Stone Roses, and possibly the 2 most under-rated bands of the past 30 years, 'the Fall' & 'the Chameleons' (Chameleons UK, as they were known in the US).
The South of England was a barren talentless zone, and only supplied us with Spandau Ballet, who frankly, turned out to be a disappointment!
I should really mention the most iconic band of my era, which was a Welsh/Scots collaboration called 'Visage', sublime!
Hope that refreshes a few memories for myLot users.
All the best.

Yeah... I think Bryan Adams do look awful now. I think he has turned into a vegetarian, that's the reason why he looks pale and annorexic. I remember watching his concert back then... Sigh... such a waste!!
