How many hours do you work as a student?

I'm a "full-time" university student from the UK, and I also work 15 hours a week at a mail-order company, on the customer care desk. Most of the people I know however, either don't work at all, or work only a few hours in a bar or shop to give them "drinking money". This has led me to wonder what peoples work schedules were like around university, so I'd be interested to know: What university are you at / did you go to How many hours of lectures do / did you have per week (on average)? How many hours of "job" work do / did you do on average per week? This does not include holiday jobs, just work you do during term time, and fit in around your studies. I'm currently at Loughborough University studying Publishing with English, and have around 14 hours of lectures per week.

I remember my college days. Since of course college hours are broken schedules, i had soem free time now and then. It will still total to 8 hours in a way though because anything i do in my extra hours in between was related to school still anyway. Although there are also time when i spent some time in college grounds and just hang out with friends. I didnt work part time while studying. My dad didnt want me to because ti was best for me to focus on my studies and he will take care of the rest he said.

Aaah, at first, mine thought the same, however I didn't want to rely on them as unfortunately my father tends to use money to get his own way (i.e. if I disagreed with him he threatened to cut off funds). I find I get on much better with the folks now that I'm paying my own way!
