Try Punchy. That's the name of Rocky's dog in the movie Rocky Balboa. It's as good a name as any! You could also just call him Pug. I read about a guy who had a pet cat called Cat and a pet dog called, no prizes for guessing, yes, his pet dog was called 'Dog'!!!! Well, what is your dogs personality? Does he have any physical traits that stick out? Like does he have white feet and the rest of him is a different color, you could name him Socks, or if he barks you could name him Barkie, if he is very active you could name him Sparkie or Spunky, if he is not active and is very easy going you could name him Killer. LOL, that is what I go by when I name dogs. My dog's name is Miko because he is Japanese and that was what his former owners named him. It fits him though. for a dog's name, i suggest it should only have one or two syllables. so that you can easily call him anytime you want to and for him, to understand quickly that it's his name. for me, "strike or striker" would be the best name for your dog. i hope this helps.
